Post 4: To Write A Script

Hey everybody! Vaughn here; for the past couple of days, I've been working nonstop on the Ireline Perdition script and I am pleased to say that it is about a fourth of the way finished. That means that hopefully, by next week, it will be completed, and we can begin editing it. As for what's going on in the script, well, I can't give away too much, but Jimmy John James, the chief of police, is in a bit of trouble and The White Bullet and Sleeping Bag Boy need to help him out.

I gotta tell you, it's a lot of fun writing the script for this movie. I have a lot of experience writing short stories and doing journalism, but my only other work writing scripts was for the film Worm Boy, and that was never finished. What I've found to be the most fun about getting to work on this film is how easily the characters interact with each other; it's like they're little pieces of a puzzle and they fit right together. Well, maybe that's not the best simile, but it gets the point across.

For the past three days, I've mostly stayed home to write, but sadly, I lose focus so much that it's ended up being one of my lowest priorities. In fact, most of my time here has been spent reading books (check out William Shirer's A History of the Third Reich; it's excellent), listening to music (I've been listening to some stuff like Comets on Fire, Strong Like Bear, Cabron, Khanate, Keelhaul, etc, and I've been downloading, album by album, the discography of Leviathan), and playing Super Mario World on my SNES. My apologies to Willie and Ari for slacking!

Willie's House of Fun will be meeting again on Thursday through Friday for another session of recording videos and planning/making The Ireline Perdition. We'll be sure to take plenty of pictures for you (if you like the pictures we've posted here, be sure to check out our Facebook group, with over 100 pictures). Until next time, peace out, and keep hope alive.

Post 3: Pickin' Up The Pace

Apparently, Willie and I have finally gotten back in the swing of doing stuff.  Today alone, we accomplished a lot more than yesterday, or even the day before.  Since my only priority is working on the script, he has a lot of stuff to do (well, he doesn't need to do it now, and it doesn't make sense that he is, but I guess it's good): right now, he's taking a break from the movie to work on the prize packages for the sweep stakes winners.  That means he's compiling DVD's and such (which reminds me; I need to right M.W. a song about her life.  What's her life about?), but not making t-shirts just yet; that'll be tougher to do.

He's also doing some crazy shit like composing a soundtrack, compiling credits (even though there are only a few roles to credit; the stars, the producers, director, writer, etc; but most of that isn't definite yet), writing the White Bullet's theme song, etc.  Boy works so hard!!

Vaughn, on the other hand, is writing the script and annoying Willie.  He has a job so it makes sense that he can't focus on anything for very long (or maybe there's another reason?), but he's also easily distracted by shiny stuff so there's no way of telling how much work is actually getting done.

DJ Harry, famous for remixing the String Cheese Incident and releasing it as a CD of housy techno, still refuses to talk to us about using his song, "Absolution," in the cafe scene of Ireline Perdition.  It appears that he either generally hates me, or he's seriously busy and can't check his mail.  Or maybe he's writing a song, just for us...  Oh damn, that would be cool...

Well, we're gonna get back to work on the movie, but stay tuned for more updates as events happen.  Next time:  does the Green Square logo really look like a blind man in a park if you turn it upside down?

Post 1: The Beginning

Welcome to the official production blog for the full length Willie's House of Fun Movie, The Ireline Perdition!  Courtesy of Green Square Pictures and Violator Productions, this movie is a continuation of the popular Black Shovel/White Bullet saga first introduced in Episode Six of the YouTube series, which can be accessed here: http://www.youtube.com/timmy54416trey.  In an alternate timeline, The White Bullet has defeated The Black Shovel and he and his companion Sleeping Bag Boy retire from the Limelight.  However, The Black Shovel may not be as dead as they had expected.

As of today, there hasn't been a whole lot of progress made!  Willie and Vaughn have established the timeline of events in the movie, and the script is being worked on.  Also, the opening credits are finished; they look pretty good!  Music for the soundtrack is being worked on; songs composed by The House of Fun staff, as well as songs by artists such as DJ Harry and Sublime are being negotiated.  Fun!

When the script is finished, edited and revised, we will be holding an open audition for anyone interested in becoming a part of the madness.  Actors will be monetarily compensated for their time (maybe just a dollar or two - Seriously, we're poor), but it would be cool if you volunteered simply to be in a feature film.
